LIST Technologies

LIST Technologies started out as just a little idea in my head and has now turned out to be a small, part time business venture. "LIST" Technologies is made up of (LI) "Lisa", my darling wife and (ST) "Steve", that's me! If you want to know more about Steve Summers personaly then click here.

I have been interested in computers for what seems like a life time and seem to have embraced the technology very quickly. My first taste at the PC was a 286 processor back in about 1991 or thereabouts. I didn't really grab it then I was still young (about 21) and there was a lot more better things to do than to sit at home on a Friday night and take my PC apart and put it back together. I suppose, after that, there was a gap of about 4 or so years. I then spent $4000.00 of my hard earned money on a Pentium 166. I can remember the processor, top of the line back then, however I think it had 64 meg of SDRAM and an 4 Meg video card. The HDD I can't honestly remember.

Not so long ago I had a thought that all these people that were asking me "can you put a new one of these in", how much is a new computer going to cost me" or "my computer had an illegal operation, is that bad?" needed someone that could help them fix their problems. That person always seemed to be me. I would always say "are you home on the weekend?", I would then drive over on the weekend and fix their computer and they would be happy. Now after some serious thought these were nice gestures for people but it was costing me money and time, time I didn't have, and so LIST Technologies was born.
